Aviator I banned Martin Scorsese before and I'm not afraid to do it again! There is just something smarmy about those eyebrows and those glasses that I cannot forgive. It's just too much if you're asking me. And to tell the truth... I've never really been sold on the whole "Scorsese" thing. He's not that great. the Sea Are you kidding me with the biopics this year? Normally I wold be impressed iwth an artist that masters another craft to better themselves for a role... but to shove it down our throats with an accompanying CD and threats of quitting the acting business for a singing carrer is down right maddening. Closer This is a hard one to ban. I like the director, Mike Nichols. It's an adaption of a play, which I always like because it tends to focus more on character and dialogue. So why ban this film? Because I really like the cast minus that wretch of a horse toothed jackass Julia Roberts. I'm not fooled by her good looks and giddy personality. I know she's not worth the $20m she gets a picture. She was a hooker for christ sake, do we forgive nothing in this world? Since when are hookers our icons? Well, besides Paris Hilton? Nope. This year Julia Roberts is banned which means Closer is banned. And that is a shame. Way to ruin a movie Julia. |

Ray Have I mentioned that I am over the biopic? Have I mentioned that I am soooo over Jamie Foxx? Let me tell ya, the comedian turned dramatic actor bit is getting tired! Robin Williams, fine. Jim Carrey, great! Jamie Foxx? Who's next? Martin Laurence? Oh Hell No Gina! The real reason I am banning this film is because I am so sick of actors portraying a real human being and thinking that they have "become" that person. Jim Carrey, you were not Andy Kauffman no matter how much you thought you were. It's annoying if not ridiculous. It's a God complex. Foxx is a C-rate comic that has also developed this "God complex" praising himself for his piano playing and his "becoming Ray." Fuck You Jamie Foxx. |

Don't get me wrong, it probably lives up to the hype... but I've yet to see it and the more awards it wins the more I want to ban it.
